In Japan, the word katana actually means “sword”

The Suzuki Katana has a rich and fascinating history, starting with its design as a “Target Design” concept in 1979. This design was later developed into the GSX1100S model and unveiled at the 1980 Cologne Motorcycle Show, where it garnered immense attention.

Production of Suzuki katana began in 1981, and the Katana quickly became a global icon, known for its sharp styling and powerful engine. The series expanded with various models, including the GSX750, GSX650, GSX400, and GSX250, eventually ending production in 2000.

1. It’s affordable

Compare to latest top notch pricey super bikes that require multiple millions of Naira to own, Suzuki katana (GSXF) models are within reach for Ibadan bikers. Hence, ibadan bikers would rather go for Suzuki katana bikes anytime anyday because of its affordability.

2. Motorbike importers factor

Majority of ibadan bike importers have a strong belief that the fastest selling bikes are Suzuki katana, hence, they would rather shop and ship in katana bikes into ibadan as against other brands. Remember people will rather buy what they see compare to that which is not within their reach.
